Read Time - 3 min

As part of the efforts made by the Traffic Awareness Department to raise traffic safety awareness among motorcycle riders working in delivery services, the department organized an awareness lecture for a number of delivery companies. The lecture was held from 13/01/2026 to 14/01/2026 at the auditorium of the General Directorate of Traffic.

These lectures come within the framework of implementing the Traffic Awareness Department’s 2026 awareness plan, targeting this important category of road users with the aim of educating them. In the first phase, 300 drivers were targeted.

The lecture covered several topics, including an introduction to the Traffic Law and traffic safety requirements. It also addressed the causes leading to traffic accidents, such as distraction while driving and speeding, and highlighted common violations and mistakes that result in traffic accidents. Awareness messages were included on how to avoid the most common driving mistakes, such as weaving between vehicles, riding in groups on roads, sudden entry and rapid, unexpected lane changes—especially on internal roads—and the importance of using the designated lanes for motorcycles.

Awareness videos were also presented, and participants raised several questions and suggestions, all of which were addressed.
